Pretty straight forward stuff, see here. BTW, I came across a paper by Mark Russinovich (Sysinternals) talking about duplicate SIDs – you can see the full paper here. Essentially, Microsoft’s support policy will still require cloned systems to be made unique with Sysprep – which will change a machine’s SID; however, a SID change is not really required.
